Plotwise is a daily logic puzzle. You can play without creating an account. This policy explains the information used when you visit this website.
Game data on your device
We use browser localStorage to remember puzzle marks, elapsed time, first completion records, streaks, tap preferences, tutorial status and your analytics choice. Game records stay in your browser; we do not upload your board or saved history to a game server. Storage remains until you clear it or your browser removes it. Clearing site data deletes your local records. Private browsing or blocked storage may prevent progress from being saved.
Backups and moving domains
You can export a backup code and import it on another device. If Plotwise moves to a new domain, the old site can transfer your game records and game preferences in a URL fragment to the new site. Fragments are not sent in HTTP requests. The new site validates and merges the records, then removes the fragment from the address bar. Analytics consent is not transferred. Backup codes contain your game history; keep them private.
Google Analytics 4 and regional choices
When analytics is configured, Google Consent Mode v2 sets analytics storage to denied by default in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, and granted elsewhere. We estimate which choice screen to show using your browser’s time zone; this is not precise location detection. An unavailable or unrecognized time zone is treated as requiring a choice. In the regions we estimate as requiring a choice, the Google Analytics script is held until you allow it. Elsewhere it loads automatically unless you previously declined. Google’s regional defaults still apply independently of our time-zone estimate.
On a first puzzle visit, the tutorial appears before the analytics choice screen. You can allow or decline analytics there, or change your choice at any time through Analytics preferences in the footer. We remember explicit choices in localStorage; if storage fails, a choice applies to the current page session. Declining keeps the game available and stops our analytics events. On withdrawal, we disable further measurement and attempt to remove first-party Analytics cookies. This does not delete data already received by Google.
Analytics can collect page views, device and browser information, approximate location and interactions such as starting or completing a puzzle, completion time and difficulty, opening the archive, sharing, and finishing or skipping the tutorial. Google uses cookies and identifiers according to the applicable consent state. If Google identifies a restricted region despite a different browser-time-zone estimate, its denied storage default can allow consent-mode measurement without Analytics cookies. We do not send your puzzle board, name or email address in these events. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization are always denied in our consent configuration; Google signals are also disabled.
Google processes analytics data under its own policies and may process data outside your country. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites.
Hosting and sharing
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare receives network information, such as your IP address and request details, to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Sharing uses your device’s share sheet or clipboard only when you select Share; the app you choose then handles the shared text under its own policy.
Possible future advertising
No Google advertising scripts are currently integrated. We may add Google advertising in the future. Before enabling it, we will update this policy and implement the required consent choices. Ads may use cookies or similar technologies for measurement and, where permitted and chosen, personalization. Reserved advertisement spaces do not themselves load an ad network.
Contact messages and your choices
If you email us, we receive your email address and message to respond. Do not send sensitive information. We keep correspondence only as needed to address your request and applicable obligations. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal information, or complain to a data protection authority. Contact us to ask about information we hold. We cannot recover game records stored only on your device.
Children and changes
Plotwise is intended for a general adult audience. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has sent personal information. We will update this page when our practices change.
